Open Wide

I frequently see new Excursion owners asking how to get the barn doors open all the way. It’s incredibly easy.

You need to open the doors extra wide if you want to load anything wider than about 44”

The door check assembly is located between the two hinges.

Press the piece of spring steel toward the outside of the truck and lift the check rod (the curved piece of metal coming out of the door) up off the ball.

You’re done.

If you want to re-install the check rods, you can just push them down onto the ball. The spring steel will get out of your way with no issue.

Or you can just leave the check rods disconnected all the time.
