Ridgeline Accessories & Mods

So, the engineers & designers at Honda put together a pretty good vehicle, but it isn’t perfect, at least not perfect for me.

Just home from the dealership. This is the last time it was stock.

On this page, I’m going to list the changes I’ve made to the truck and link to manufacturers & vendors. Larger projects will get blog posts or project pages as appropriate.

I’ll be updating this page as I make changes.

In-channel vent visors from WeatherTech let me get some fresh air on rainy days or covertly vent the truck while parked on hot days. I don’t like the looks of the ones that stick to the outside of the door frame, I had those on the Excursion. Actually what I don’t like about stick ons is the risk of getting them crooked.

Still trying to decide if it’s worth the time/money/effort to de-chrome the truck.

The one thing I don’t like about these deflectors is that the right side one cuts off a bit of the view of the passenger side mirror.

Mud flaps, front & rear , also from WeatherTech, keep some of the road filth off my paintwork and make the NART look a bit more butch.

Mud flaps & running board

Full coverage floor mats from TuxMat keep the carpets clean and dry. I chose these because the back seat mat was a single piece from the rear edge of the front seats all the way to, and partially up, the back wall.

You can see the mat going up the side of the center console.

Under seat storage bins from Lowe’s keep my stuff organized.

Three 5-gallon bins fit either under the seat or in the trunk.

The official Honda bin is over $100, these three were $7 each. And these are a lot more flexible in that I can toss them in the trunk, bed, or campsite as needed.

Door sill protectors from Tufskinz. They also offer them with custom text for not a lot of money. The gray mountain graphic is pretty close to Sonic Gray Pearl.

How Honda designed this with exposed paintwork is beyond me. Grit on shoes will grind that paint off quickly.

Aluminum running boards from Romik. The aggressive design ensures that these won’t get slippery when wet. Also that barefoot folks won’t get into my truck.

Wheel well to wheel well coverage.
Detail of the tread.

I chose this open design for the running boards to hopefully ensure better life. The factory boards on the Excursion were layers of steel wrapped in plastic. Water got trapped in there and rotted them away. Also, this design should clean some of the worst mud off shoes when getting into the truck.

Leather steering wheel cover from Wheelskins. Burgundy is my favorite color and I felt the Ridgeline could use a splash of something. My last three vehicles have had Wheelskins covers.

Just a bit of color.

Phone mount from ProClipUSA. (Mostly because the factory wireless charging pad is utter trash.) Proclip is a two part system, the vehicle specific mount and the device holder. I opted for a MagSafe holder for ease of operation. Hopefully it holds the phone well enough while driving. In my work truck I’ve combined a ProClip vehicle mount with a double Ram Mount to hold my work & personal phones.

MagSafe charger is faster than the factory charging pad.

Glove box organizer from Vehicle OCD. According to them, it doesn’t fit the 2024 Ridgeline, but I don’t agree with that. I purchased from Amazon.

Owners manual on top. Flashlight & corkscrew on lower left. Trailer brake controller still needs to be installed.

I installed a trailer brake controller in October. The brains are behind the panel, so you get a picture of the control knob.

I also rearranged these button into an order that made more sense to me.

No idea what to store here though.

I got a console lid pocket for Christmas.

I just got the Fas-Top Traveller package. I’m waiting on a warmer day to adjust the fitment, but I needed to get this out of the garage.

Soft top up.

The soft top can be stowed against the bulkhead when it’s not needed

Soft top stowed.

The Traveller package also includes the soft tonneau cover which fits between cab & topper when the soft top is up.

Tonneau cover. Soft top is under there.

I really love the flexibility this package gives me. Open bed, topper, tonneau and only a few minutes to switch from one to the other.

That’s where the truck stands now.
